Robotics

Students assemble Lego EV3 robots, perform programming through trial-and-error coding and as well as
logic/mechanical data-based programming. Saturday competitions may happen with
teams from Yokosuka and Zama Middle Schools with possible competition at Yokota
Middle School. These competitions are subject to change based on COVID-19
precautions. Students work with other team members to build and code robots
Expectations of the robotics club are: 1. Your ability to work hard as part of a team to
complete whatever task needs to be addressed is essential – you must be flexible. 2.
Regular attendance at the club is vital – you must be reliable. 3. Some work outside of
club hours will be required (research, preparation, competitions) – you must be
committed. 4. Students do all the work at the robotics club, so you will be expected to
multi-task and take on responsibilities outside of your comfort zone – you must be
willing to grow.
